Penny's 6th Birthday

Penny turned 6 this month!
She wanted a low-key rock band party with the cousins and got just that.

I whipped together her "rockin" cake ensemble and we rocked out with the fam.

The party was almost an all nighter - well technically it was a sleepover.

First Shearing

What started out as a regular evening home with the family - turned into a hair raising(or losing) experience. Collin had just finished gumming a teething biscuit to the point of extreme messiness. Ian offered to put him in a bath. I was downstairs with the girls and a little while later Ian comes down with Collin. Before he comes into the office where I am he says "I think I went a little too far" with the sound of his voice saying he did something bad - I thought "how could a bath go a little too far??" Then Ian walks into the room with Collin on his hip and my mouth drops. Holding our 8 month old on his hip that is now completely bald. Collin still smiling like he always does, not really aware of the drastic change of appearance.
Cammy - "that's not our baby"
Even though it has been a few days - I still am not used to seeing my little lamb sheared.

We visited the Jefferson Memorial and on the way back to the car - passed by this statue of George Mason noting his involvment with the bill of rights.
The girls were more interested in posing with him than figuring out who he was. Although Cammy did ask why he had a bowling ball with him (it was really his hat).

Cammie and Collin
Penny and Collin
I love little baby feet.

The girls just love their little brother - everyday he is showered with hugs, kisses and cuddles. The first few diaper changes had Penny and Cameron fighting over who would help...lately it has been Cammie hanging tough in helping with diaper changes, feeding time and any other instance she can.

How cute is a baby in a collared shirt? Collin looks very mature for his age of 5 weeks.
